Magic Bullet Looks Studio FAQ

  • Why does the Preset menu close when I try to use the scroll bar?
  • The menu is set to detect when the mouse is over the preset menu so that it opens when the mouse hovering over the looks tab but if the mouse is too close to the edge of the preset menu the menu may close.

 

 

  • How do I return to Studio once I am in the LooksBuilder?
    • In the bottom right hand corner of the LooksBuilder, locate the ok or cancel button, the ok button will apply the look you have chosen and the cancel button will delete any changes made in the LooksBuilder. Click to return to Studio. Please note that the LooksBuilder application will remain on top of all windows while it is activated. So you must exit the LooksBuilder by hitting the ok or cancel button to return to Studio.


  • I accidentally deleted a tool in the tool chain, how do I get it back?
  • You can try to undo by hitting control “z” which will undo any unwanted step. Or go into the preset menu and re-select the current preset.

  • How do I stop the theater view?
  • You can control the theater preview by hitting the space bar to stop on a certain preset or hit the escape button to return to original tool chain.

 

  • How do I find out if I have the right Graphic Card?
  • During installation, if you do not have the correct graphic card, a warning message will appear saying that states you do not have the correct graphic card requirements. Also you can check the minimum requirements provided below in the system requirements question.

  • Magic Bullet Looks seems to be running slowly. How can I speed things up to get real-time performance?
  • In most cases, slow performance is due to the fact that you are not using a supported graphics card. Please review the list below to see which graphics cards we recommend:

Nvidia 6600, 7800, 8800
ATI 9600, 1800, 1900
Note: there is no Intel card support

  • Can I use Magic Bullet Looks on a laptop?
  • Yes, we recommend a mid-range Dell or HP machines with a dedicated GPU. You also need a qualifying graphics card. (See above list.)
  • Is there a manual for Magic Bullet Looks?
  • Yes, if you have already purchased Magic Bullet Looks you will find the electronic manual in the software installer folder or you can download it here

 

  • Where can I find out more information about the presets, tools and their parameter?
  • Please check our online help, this can be activated by hitting the question mark button inside of the Studio effects panel for Magic Bullet Looks.

 

  • Where is the help located?
  • To access the online help information about Magic Bulet Looks click on the question mark button located in the Looks effect panel.

 

Along with the help information provided in the Looks effect panel located in Studio there is also additional help information provided within the LooksBuilder window. Once the help feature is activated, a short summary will appear in the lower left hand corner of the LooksBuilder.
